Bivši američki predsjednik Donald Trump okrznut je metkom u napadu na predizbornom skupu u Butleru, objavio je Washington Post pozivajući se na okružnog tužitelja. Napadač i jedan od posjetitelja ubijeni su.
Bivši američki predsjednik Donald Trumpa dobro je i na sigurnom nakon što je u subotu navečer odjeknulo nekoliko pucnjeva na njegovu skupu u Pennsylvaniji. "Tajna služba je provela zaštitne mjere i bivši predsjednik je na sigurnom", službeno je objavljeno.
Pucnjevi su odjeknuli nedugo nakon što je Trump počeo govor na skupu na otvorenom u gradu Butleru. Agenti su odmah oborili i polegli Trumpa ispod podija.
CNN je objavio da je bivši predsjednik ozlijeđen, ali ne navodeći detalje. Na videosnimci vidi se da Trump ima nešto krvi oko desnog uha i na desnoj strani lica.
Nakon nekoliko trenutaka ustao je, okružen agentima koji su ga ispratili od pozornice do automobila. Podigao je šaku u zrak u znak prkosa, a pristaše su mu klicale.
Trumpov glasnogovornik Steven Cheung je rekao da je bivši predsjednik "dobro". "Predsjednik Trump zahvaljuje organima red i hitnim službama na brzoj reakciji tijekom ovog gnusnog čina. On je dobro i trenutno je na pregledu u lokalnoj medicinskoj ustanovi. Uskoro ćemo imati više detalja", rekao je Cheung.
